Eyelet challenge
So I keep buying eyelets. No real reason, other than that they're cheap (I got 100 of them for .50 at Target) and they're kinda fun to play with. But I really don't have that many ideas of what to do with them. Here's one thing I've made so far: Scrap paper, a small piece of ribbon (for the vest and mittens), eyelets, ink, and invisible thread. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the 96 other eyelets. :P |

All of my years in the South did NO good
Well, I do still say "y'all" every chance I get. ;) | What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. | | The West | | | Boston | | | North Central | | | The Inland North | | | Philadelphia | | | The South | | | The Northeast | | What American accent do you have? Wow
Ok, the Tigers lost, but they did well. And I'm fickle... I'm totally in awe of UCLA's Ryan Hollins. He's 7 feet tall!! He had a great game tonight, too. |

Go.... Tigers!!!Even if they don't make it to the Final Four, they've done a great job this season. (No, I'm not really an NCAA fanatic, it's just hard to not get caught up in the excitement!) |

More snow pictures
I've now convinced at least one of my neighbors that I'm crazy. I went outside to take more pictures of the snow (in not the best of snow gear). It was funny, he took one look at me hobbling around and said "Be careful!" That was sweet. More snow pictures! |

Yeah, I'm a tourist...
I'm still awestruck when it snows. I mean, REALLY snows. (There is no snow in my original hometown, San Jose, California.) At my apartment today: ( Read more... ) |

Use it or lose it...
I'm determined to use up my supply of beads by the end of the month or get rid of them. I've been carrying these things around for years! The only real practical use I have for them is lanyards. (I don't wear much jewelry these days - it irritates my skin). So... one more lanyard... this one made out of an old elastic power beads bracelet... It would look better with some black beads, but since the gold sand stone power beads are supposed to give a 'positive attitude,' I thought it best to leave them untainted. ;) ( Monkeys make excellent models. ) Current Music: Big Runga - "Drive" |

chiMp3 player
I fixed the chimp! I made the cut higher, in the back of his head and had to stitch up the other hole. I also managed to keep the orangutan remote control holder in the bed all night. I may be on to something! |

Crazy late night ideas...
I don't sleep with stuffed animals, but I do sleep with a remote control for my cd player. I also listen to my Mp3 player in bed. However, I toss and turn, and end up throwing those things on the floor half the time. Maybe if I made them more warm and cuddly.... I'll prevent this problem?? Before: ( Read more... ) |

Happy New Year!
Don't forget to eat lucky food!! I'm eating black-eyed peas for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner (and adding the collard greens for dinner.) I have no corn bread, though. I may have to go door to door until I find a neighbor that will share cornbread with me. ;) |

For Senor Coconut...
My boss does this silly "Golden Bone" award thing, he passes the bone to different people each month recognizing their accompliments, etc. Well, just for Senor Coconut, I made a.... GOLDEN COCONUT AWARD - For Outspoken People I had the half coconut in my freezer (full of sorbet - yum!). I only thought to paint it gold, beeosh suggested making it look like the Don't Panic thing! Rock on, Coconut, and keep speaking your mind!! |
